Soda-lighted to meet you!

For our Relief Society Activity, we decided to have a get to know you night. We have had a ton of new families move into our congregation, so we thought it'd be great to have an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better. I found a cute idea on pinterest to do a "soda" theme kinda 50's feel, and I loved it. My sis did an amazing job on the invite. This print inspired it all. I framed this for the table. We kept the table pretty simple with a few desserts and décor items. We had sodas with vanilla ice cream. This ice cream sprinkle table cloth from Target was perfect. I wished I'd gotten pics of the games we played. They were fun! We did one in a circle with a bouncy ball that had questions written all over it. When you caught the ball, you answered the question closest to your right thumb.  Then, we played the shoe game. Everyone put one shoe in a pile in the middle of the room with the lights turned down

Book Exchange.

This month our Relief Society Activity was a book exchange and guest speaker. Jaime made this adorable invite for it. I love it so much.  I gathered some things from Party City, Target, and World Market.. how cute are those wooden stick pencils?! And the little owls and toadstools?! I spent a lot of time wrapping books with the wrapping paper for height on the tables.   Jaime made some adorable food labels and quotes for me. For the food/snack table, we had books set up with treats that matched the books somehow - for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we had chocolates,   for the Very Hungry Caterpillar, we had gummy worms, for Diary of a Wimpy Kid, we had cheese, for Harry Potter, we had chocolate wands, and for Popcorn Popping, we had popcorn. When the women came in, we had this table set up outside the room. They wrote their names on the paper and put it in the bucket for a drawing.  We gave away these adorable book bags my friend made for
