Book Exchange.

This month our Relief Society Activity was a book exchange and guest speaker. Jaime made this adorable invite for it. I love it so much.  I gathered some things from Party City, Target, and World Market.. how cute are those wooden stick pencils?! And the little owls and toadstools?! I spent a lot of time wrapping books with the wrapping paper for height on the tables.   Jaime made some adorable food labels and quotes for me. For the food/snack table, we had books set up with treats that matched the books somehow - for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we had chocolates,   for the Very Hungry Caterpillar, we had gummy worms, for Diary of a Wimpy Kid, we had cheese, for Harry Potter, we had chocolate wands, and for Popcorn Popping, we had popcorn. When the women came in, we had this table set up outside the room. They wrote their names on the paper and put it in the bucket for a drawing.  We gave away these adorable book bags...

Pioneers and Pie.

Thursday night was our monthly Relief Society Activity I was in charge of. This is an activity we have for the women in our congregation meant to help them get to know each other better, learn something, and be uplifted.  We decided to have the activity be about pioneers (the early  members of our church and how their faith can strengthen ours... and pie ;)). Jaime helped me so much with the design of the invite and the other printables.. as well as helping me with the activity idea itself. I think this may be one of my all time favorite invites Jaime has ever designed! I love it! These oil paintings of pioneers were also found by Jaime and inspired the feel of the dessert table. Aren't they gorgeous? I got the flowers at Trader Joe's, of course. We had pies and bread/rolls with jelly and butter for the refreshments.
