Graduation Party.

A few friends and I wanted to throw a small graduation party for our boys, who graduated from 8th grade. We wished it could be a larger gathering, but we wanted to keep it small with all the COVID-19 concerns right now. Avery and I went to Michael's to find some party supplies. They had a great selection of things that worked.  She loved this grad hat headband. So cute and funny, too. I made these egg free chocolate cupcakes and topped them with these toppers and class of 2020 stickers. My friends put this awesome balloon arch together while I worked on the banners over the dessert table.  My man child. He's growing up too fast!    Here's the dessert table. We had balloons in the boys' school colors and a Congratulations banner I made from supplies at Michael's. They sell the plain white triangle pages and letter stickers, which makes it so easy to put together.  We used a white tablecloth and silver confetti ont the table, as well as ...

Llama themed baby shower.

I threw a baby shower for my sweet friend . It was so fun planning it, as I've never done a Mexican/llama themed party before.  This table runner was what inspired the colors and feel of the shower. Isn't it adorable? Here are the other things I found for the shower. The llama stuffed animal is from one of my favorite stores, Pigment. The plates, cups, napkins, and silverware are from Target. The bowls, llama mug, and cacti are from TJ Maxx, and the llama vase is from Walmart.  I loved these little gums from Trader Joe's and thought they'd make perfect party favors. My twin sis helped me a ton with this party and not only designed the invite, but also this adorable print, the favor tags, and the favor table sign. The favor table:   The food table: (I made the yarn banner myself. It was a little time consuming, but so worth it, I think.) I also made the cute little yarn tassels for the llama. Such a sweet little detail,...

Pumpkin themed baby shower.

The week after Thanksgiving I threw a baby shower for my sweet friend, Morgan. My twin sis helped me a ton by giving me all the décor and pumpkins she'd used for a shower she threw a friend a month or so before. These are some of the flowers I got for the shower at Trader Joe's. So pretty, yes? Here's the décor. Not the best light for a photo, but you get the gist. And here's the beginnings of the food table. My sis bought the decorative fans online, and the pumpkins are from Trader Joe's.  The party favors were caramels from Trader Joe's in cute little bags with gold and peach ribbons. My sis gave me these awesome wheat stalks she'd actually picked herself. And I love the little sign she designed for the favor table. I ordered sandwiches and desserts from Kneaders.  It was such a beautiful shower for a beautiful friend.

A Trolls Themed Birthday for sweet C.

My niece, Cate, happened to turn 6 years old while she was visiting us in AZ! Her mom and I were thrilled because that meant that we could have the party together! Cate wanted a Trolls themed party, so Jaime went with it. The cake turned out amazing and adorable, right? How cute are the little toadstools?! Jaime bought them off Etsy a few years ago. She uses them a lot in parties. The little edible flowers are from Walmart, and the banner she made with pink straws, twine, and cardstock. Jaime put up these colorful balloons above the food table. I love how they made a big impact for not a lot of money. I made these rainbow cupcakes. I think they're so cute and perfect for this theme. Jaime served hot dogs, homemade mac 'n' cheese, salad, and fruit for the meal. If you've never made homemade macaroni and cheese, you must try it, at least once. It is really delicious, and not hard at all. Jaime and I love this recipe . I skip the step about adding ...
