Hair Clips.

Had to post about these adorable Ryan and Wren hair clips we got. They are super cute!   I love the texture of them - they are made from leather and other sturdy materials.  Check out their shop if you're needing some new hair accessories for yourself or your girl!

A's faves: Back to School.

This girl has a definite style emerging, and it's so fun to see! She picks out her own clothes most of the time, and I always love to see what she chooses.  Outfit 1: Zara tee, striped shorts from Sophia & Zeke (which we got from Stitch Fix), and Old Navy sneakers. Hair clips from Zara.  Outfit 2: Old Navy dress, periwinkle blue cardigan from Truly (which we got from Stitch Fix), headband from Target, and shoes from the Gap.  I loved how her outfit matched her pineapple backpack. Backpack is the Dickies brand.  This outfit is Zara head to toe, except the lace trimmed socks - they are from Walmart. This outfit was what she wore for the first day of school. Abercrombie tee, Zara skirt, and Gap tennies (3rd pic she chose to wear her Vans and hair clips from Zara).  And my favorite of the bunch: Zara tee, Old Navy jumper, Checkerboard Vans, and hair clip from Zara.

Toy Story 4 Birthday cake.

Avery turned 8! We celebrated with family by playing card games and enjoying this yummy layer cake together. We had recently seen Toy Story 4, so Avery thought it'd be fun to have a cake with the cute characters, Ducky and Bunny, on it.  Making a layer cake for my kids is a little tricky, as they all are allergic to eggs. I usually use Chef Chloe's vegan recipes.   For these, I made this recipe and added food coloring to each layer. Then I used a simple white frosting and sprinkles. I made the banner with construction paper, a glue gun, string, and white sticks.   Love this girl!

Llama themed baby shower.

I threw a baby shower for my sweet friend . It was so fun planning it, as I've never done a Mexican/llama themed party before.  This table runner was what inspired the colors and feel of the shower. Isn't it adorable? Here are the other things I found for the shower. The llama stuffed animal is from one of my favorite stores, Pigment. The plates, cups, napkins, and silverware are from Target. The bowls, llama mug, and cacti are from TJ Maxx, and the llama vase is from Walmart.  I loved these little gums from Trader Joe's and thought they'd make perfect party favors. My twin sis helped me a ton with this party and not only designed the invite, but also this adorable print, the favor tags, and the favor table sign. The favor table:   The food table: (I made the yarn banner myself. It was a little time consuming, but so worth it, I think.) I also made the cute little yarn tassels for the llama. Such a sweet little detail,

Girls' Day Camp.

At our church, the 8-11 year old girls have meet biweekly for activities. Then, in the summer, they have a day camp. I didn't plan or carry out any of this, so I can't take any credit. But I went to help out, as my daughter was in the group of girls who participated. It was so cute, I had to take some pictures and share. The theme for the camp was "We can do it!", and they used Rosie the Riveter for inspiration.  They put up this cute sign in the gym for the girls to take pictures with. The girls each got a bag with a cute red and white polka dot headband and red lipstick, which they were so excited about. Then they were put into small groups and went to a number of different classes in different rooms.  This was their "Friendship Snack", where each girl brought in a fave snack and then dumped it all in one bowl. The girls loved it. The girls learned to make dutch oven pies. They were delicious.   They got to make these adorable heart stri
