End of the Year Teacher Gifts.

I have really appreciated all of my kids' teachers this year. They are all extraordinary and have helped each of my kids to grow so much. I wanted their end of year gifts to be special and unique to them.. My son's teacher is from Hawaii. We thought she'd like some pineapple scented things, as they may remind her of home. Pineapple is somewhat hip right now, so it was easy to find this cute thank you card printable here.

We gave her pineapple lotion from Bath & Body Works, a pineapple candle from Target, and I had my son fill out this cute questionnaire about his teacher, too. We rolled it up and included it in the gift bag.

My daughter's kindergarten teacher has been amazing. We knew she loved treats, so we made her these pretzel/rolo/m&m treats that look like little apples. I found this adorable apple themed printable tag, and added it to an apple scented candle from Bath & Body Works and a star shaped chalk board from Target's dollar section.

For my oldest son's teacher, we decided to do a cute little mint colored theme gift. I found this printable tag here. I put in Life Saver mints, Junior Mints, some mint lotion from Bath & Body Works, and some mint colored nail polish. The mint colored bucket is from Target.

When my daughter filled out hers, it was so cute, because when she came to the "My teacher always says" part, she said, "My teacher always says to kiss your brains!" And she's right! I've been in her kinder class many times, and I love how whenever the kids answered questions correctly or did great listening, her teacher would say, "Kids, kiss your brains!" And then they'd all take their fingers, kiss them, and then pat their foreheads. So, so cute! My daughter also said that she'd miss giving her teacher gifts the most.. she was always writing little notes and drawing lots of pictures for her her. She'd always seal them in an envelope and deliver them to her first thing in the morning.

I am so so thankful for amazing teachers that work so hard all year to help my kiddos. We've been truly blessed by them this year, and we will really miss them!!

Friendship themed Relief Society Dinner.

I spent a lot of time planning for our big Relief Society dinner/Visiting Teaching Conference. After tossing around a lot of ideas, I finally settled on the theme of friendship. I saw this Mary Engelbreit illustration and quote that I loved, and it became the basis for the whole night. I had so much help from Jaime, my sis. She designed these awesome invitations and helped me so much as I planned the décor . Another sweet friend, Katie, helped me with the food.. we decided to have it catered by Kneaders. We had to go eat there to really look at everything and decide.. ;) We even tried some desserts just to be sure.. it was fun, fun!! I bought this adorable polka dot teapot there that I just knew I wanted to use. Another dear friend, Sarah, who is crazy talented by the way, went with me to Hobby Lobby and The Dollar Store with me for frames, vases, and other décor.. we found these adorable artificial fruits that ended up being perfect for the theme. Party 101.

I remember when my oldest son was 4 years old, and I wanted to plan a birthday party for him. I was overwhelmed with how to go about planning a birthday party for little kids. I wasn't sure where to start. All I knew was that he really wanted a Thomas the Train theme. Cohen, at his Thomas party. Up until then, we had always done birthday parties with family only, and they were simply eating a meal (often at a restaurant), opening presents, and having cake. This would be our first friend birthday party, where we'd have to plan activities and food for all the kids. I so wanted to have a party that was memorable for my son and his friends. I emailed a friend of mine and asked her for advice. She gave me some great tips that I've used in all my parties since. My twin sister, Jaime, also has been a great source to turn to. Father's Day Gift Ideas.

Father's Day is coming up! We love our Jason, and we like to surprise him with special gifts. I wanted to share a few things my kids and I have loved doing for Jason. These Pinhole Press board books are so adorable and easy to do. The kids love looking at them, and Jase cried when he first saw them. They made his day! Making a slideshow for your special guy is also a great idea! We made one for Jason a few years ago, and it was so special and fun. There are many different sites you can use to do that. One that I've used recently is Smile box . It does cost money to use, so be aware of that. You can also use free sites or simply make one using google slides or iMovie. Etsy has some great gifts for Dads. Look at this awesome tee set for a Dad and child. So cute! I love this modern watch/jewelry stand . So manly and clean looking.
