Pigment.

My twin sis, Jaime, has told me for so long now that we need to go to Pigment the next time I'm in town. We took our girls there on my recent trip to San Diego, and we all loved it. 
 The store is full of beautiful sights everywhere you look! 
 They have a place where you can build your own planter with colored sands and all sorts of pots and plants.
 Our girls had a blast playing with the cute colorful telephones.
 How cozy is this hanging chair?!
 Their baby and kid section was so adorable. All the fluffy stuffed animals, books, and toys were precious! I wished I had someone to buy a baby gift for! 
 And their party supplies were awesome. I was wanting one of everything.
I also thought this was a great place to find teacher gifts. They had a lot of cute water bottles, soaps, wrapping papers, bags, cups, and succulent arrangements.
They had this great plant wall area where you could have your picture taken. Loved it. My twin sis and me. 
 And this wall outside the store was an adorable spot for a picture, too.
We could've spent hours at this store. I'm so glad we got to go and can't wait to go again!

Friendship themed Relief Society Dinner.

I spent a lot of time planning for our big Relief Society dinner/Visiting Teaching Conference. After tossing around a lot of ideas, I finally settled on the theme of friendship. I saw this Mary Engelbreit illustration and quote that I loved, and it became the basis for the whole night. I had so much help from Jaime, my sis. She designed these awesome invitations and helped me so much as I planned the décor . Another sweet friend, Katie, helped me with the food.. we decided to have it catered by Kneaders. We had to go eat there to really look at everything and decide.. ;) We even tried some desserts just to be sure.. it was fun, fun!! I bought this adorable polka dot teapot there that I just knew I wanted to use. How we do chores.

I was searching the internet a few months ago for some ideas on creating a chore schedule for myself and my kids that would help us to keep our home clean. I tend to get into the habit of letting things get really dirty and then doing a major scrub down for a few days that leaves me exhausted and cranky. I thought there had to be a better, more manageable way. And then I found an idea to make a 7 day chore schedule that went along with the days of the Creation in the Holy Bible. I thought this was a great idea and so creative, which I always appreciate. So, I sat down with my hubby and kids and we brainstormed ideas of how this could be done. We broke down each day and what we could do. And then I found pictures online that went along with our chores and typed up these pages. After laminating them, they were ready to go! Teacher Appreciation Gifts. By color.

With teacher appreciation happening this week, I knew I wanted to do something nice for my 3 kids' teachers. I fell back on my usual gift ideas, and did a combination of chocolate, gum, and goodies from Bath & Body Works. All women like those things, yes? And, yes, I'm kind of a color coordinating freak. I love things to match, so I first chose 3 chocolates at Target and then went to their dollar section and found a few things that matched the chocolates.  How cute are these pink and white thumb tacks? The little sticky notes are a very light shade of blue that I thought worked with the turquoise. And I loved the purple pencils and purple paper clips, too.  I made sure to get 5 small things for each teacher.
